Did Tufts -> Mystic Lakes -> Turkey Hill -> Park Ave Tower -> Bike path -> home.
12.83mi, 2 very tough climbs, 57:02. Bike computer says average speed was 13.04mph, so I still have no idea if it's using time average or distance average, except that my math says distance average was actually higher at 13.5mph. Very satisfied.

Observations: as usual I go out too fast; I hit 22mph or so on Boston Ave between Tufts and 16, which was probably my top speed not on a ridiculous downhill (computer says max speed 26mph; Turkey Hill is rough and Park Ave is trafficky and has a light halfway down and at the bottom requiring some restraint). After that sprint I spent the Mystic Lakes stretching out and thinking positive thoughts. Felt very good when I hit the top at 12 min or so and hit 3 at around 14min. By 22min I was at the back 9 of the country club after riding through a stream. There was water everywhere on the hillsides, unsurprisingly.

Put more air in the tires and that seemed to help. But the early ride was vehehehery bouncy...

Didn't think bad thoughts until 1/3 of the way up Park. Luckily it gets less steep after the light and all is right once again. Drizzle started back up when I hit Arlington Ctr and was turning real when I hit Teele. But I took the hill up to Teele at around 12mph and felt really solid.

Maybe I can actually think about the ride to the clouds... But I'll have to do a lot more hill training.
